Mystery Quilt Pattern

This quilt pattern was initially a mystery quilt released on January 1, 2017. Here’s the entire pattern, mostly converted to typical instructions. A few pages still might look like a mystery — but you can see the finished quilt and bounce forward to all instructions before choosing fabrics and beginning the project.

Take your time to decide which colors will work best for your own quilt. The quilt would look very good sewn in batik fabrics, tone-on-tone fabrics, or mottled fabrics — fabrics with visual texture but without large visible prints.

The quilt finishes at 68″ x 68″. Purchase extra yardage or dig deeper into your scrap bin if you would like to make a larger quilt.

The color palette is simply a reference to show you how fabrics should contrast with each other. Your colors will differ but I do encourage you to use black for Fabric A or at least a very dark color, such as deep navy blue or deep purple. And white or another very light is best for Fabric B. Pay attention to contrast when choosing your fabrics.
